Abstract

The genus Microstegium Nees (Poaceae) is reported for the first time from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India based on M. fasciculatum (L.) Henrard. Microstegium fasciculatum is a common species in mainland India. A brief description and photo plate are provided for easy identification.
