Abstract

Boehmeria clidemioides Miq. (Urticaceae) is recorded for the first time in Uttarakhand state of India. The species has so far been known to occur in the eastern Himalayan region of India. A detailed description, illustration, colour photographs and notes on distribution are provided here for its easy identification. The name Boehmeria clidemioides is lectotypified and a potential distribution area map is provided for further search for the species in the Western Himalaya.
