Abstract

A new species, Dicliptera srisailamica (Acanthaceae) is described and illustrated from the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This species is closely related to Dicliptera beddomei C.B. Clarke but considerably differs in many characters. Detailed description, distribution and photo plates are provided for easy identification of the new species.
